Troubleshooting

NAO Can't connect to Choregraphe

Make sure NAO and your computer are connected to the same Network.
A robot can only be connected to one Choregraphe session at a time.
Make sure no one is already connected to your robot with Choregraphe.
Make sure your Choregraphe version is the same as the NAOqi version.
If NAO has not been correctly disconnected from the last Choregraphe session, you will get an error message. Just reboot NAO to solve this issue.

Error message “ VCOMP120.DLL ERROR” when you start Choregraphe

If the error message : “VCOMP120.DLL file cannot be found” pops out, you have to install the file.

The Visual C++ Redistributable Packages install run-time components that are required to run C++ applications that are built by using Visual Studio.

Extract the file.

Paste the vcomp120.dll file into the folder C:/Windows/System32/

MacOS 15, Error message : “The application “Finder” does not have permission to open “(null)”

If you see a dialog box that states : “The application “Finder” does not have permission to open “(null)”

Open up the Terminal app.
Drag the Choregraphe icon into the Terminal. You should see text appear pointing to it’s path.
The text should be something like:  /Users/username/Downloads/Choregraphe\ 2.8.8/Choregraphe.app
Add /Contents/MacOS/choregraphe to this path, so that it looks something like this (note that there may have been a space after “Choregraphe.app” which you need to first delete): /Users/username/Downloads/Choregraphe\ 2.8.8/Choregraphe.app/Contents/MacOS/choregraphe
Press the ENTER key. Mac OS will take some time to verify it, and raise a dialog box with “Choregraphe” Not Opened.”
Click Done on this dialog box.
Now open up Privacy & Security section of System Settings.
Scroll down to find “Choregraphe” was blocked to protect your mac.
Click Open Anyway.
Now go back to the terminal. Press the Up arrow key to bring back the previous command, and execute it again. The command should be something like: /Users/username/Downloads/Choregraphe\ 2.8.8/Choregraphe.app/Contents/MacOS/choregraphe
MacOS will bring up a dialog box to Open “Choregraphe”?.
Click on Open Anyway.
Choregraphe should be able to start now.

To start Choregraphe in the future, use the terminal command.

If you see a dialog box that states The 3D view of Choregraphe has crashed, then please select Try once without the 3D.

I want to connect to a virtual robot or edit the robot model

To connect to a virtual robot, open the Connection tab and click on Connect to virtual robot.

To change the virtual robot (NAO or Pepper versions) go in Edit / Preferences.

In the pop-up go in Virtual robot tab and select your Robot Model.
