When the download is finished, the robot will reboot automatically.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4>How-to Factory Reset NAO<\/h4><p>What is a Factory Reset<br \/>A Factory Reset operation resets the robot to its factory settings:<\/p><ul><li>It removes the User data and the system partition that are on the robot.<\/li><li>It reinstalls a NAOqi OS on the Robot.<\/li><\/ul><p>The Factory Reset operation cannot be done remotely. Depending of the tool used (see below), the Factory Reset may also include a Cloud Reset that will remove from the ADE all Preferences, Groups, Profiles, Channels, Robot type, Robot Owner, Robot Viewer, Robot Admin and applications linked to the Robot.<br \/>After a Factory Reset\u00a0without Cloud Reset, when doing the Getting Started Wizard, all the Cloud data (Preferences, Groups, Profiles\u2026) and all the applications linked to the Robot or to its Profiles are automatically reinstalled on the Robot.<br \/>Consequently, if there was an issue with applications or Cloud configuration, the issue reoccurs.\u00a0<br \/>Available tools to perform a Factory Reset<\/p><ul><li>via Robot Settings<\/li><li>via Choregraphevia SSH<\/li><li>via USB KEY<\/li><li>Robot Factory reset<\/li><li>Cloud Reset<\/li><\/ul><p>The recommended tool is Robot Settings menu because it is the only tool to\u00a0perform a full Factory Reset including the Cloud Reset.<br \/>By using another tool, the Cloud Reset can be done separately via the ADE frontend by a Customer\u00a0Care member with \u201cFleet Manager\u201d rights.<br \/>REQUIREMENTS<br \/>Via Robot Settings<\/p><ul><li>a robot,<\/li><li>an internet connection,<\/li><li>the robot\u2019s battery charger,<\/li><li>a computer connected to the same network as the robot.<\/li><\/ul><p>Via Choregraphe<\/p><ul><li>a robot,<\/li><li>an internet connection and a NAOqi system image,<\/li><li>the robot\u2019s battery charger,<\/li><li>Choregraphe (its version must correspond with the NAOqi already installed on the robot)<\/li><li>a computer connected to the same network as the robot.<\/li><\/ul><p>INSTRUCTIONS<br \/>To avoid the Factory Reset process being interrupted, keep the robot charging while performing the Factory Reset.<br \/>Process via Robots Settings app<\/p><ul><li>Turn on the robot.<\/li><li>Start the Robot Settings software.<\/li><li>Select the Nao you want to perform the Factory reset on.<\/li><li>Select \u201cSETTINGS\u201d.<\/li><li>Press \u201cStart Factory Reset\u201d. Press \u201cNEXT\u201d.<\/li><li>Log in with your Softbank Robotics account.<\/li><li>Press \u201cLaunch Factory Reset\u201d.<\/li><li>Confirm by clicking \u201cFactory Reset\u201c button.<\/li><\/ul><p>Now your Nao will be reseted to the factory settings. Once it is done, you will see the following screen.\u2028<\/p><p>Check that the factory reset has been done properly: Press the chest button once to hear NAO\u2019s notification. The robot says: \u201cI have successfully updated my system, I am now running version XXXX. I have successfully completed my factory reset, all my data and settings have been reset\u201d. You can set up your Nao robot again.<\/p><p>Process via Choregraphe app<\/p><ul><li>Download a compatible NAOqi system image on your computer.<\/li><li>Start Choregraphe software and connect your Nao to it :On the top menu, click\u00a0\u201cConnection -&gt; both buttons should snap back into place. If they don\u2019t, you probably have the head in a wrong position.<br \/>Without pressing either lock buttons, gently attempt to lift the head up to ensure a solid connection.<br \/>The head should be secure.<br \/>If not, repeat the process and be more careful with your alignment.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4>NAO \u2013 Doesn\u2019t stand up \u2013 How to fix Diagnostic File KO<\/h4><p>After a NAOqi update (for example: going from 2.8.6.23 to 2.8.7.4) a customer can have a NAO that won\u2019t stand up.<br \/>The robot will activate its motors but won\u2019t move to the stand up position. It implies that the customer won\u2019t be able to use the robot correctly.<br \/>Why ?<br \/>This happens because of a Diagnostic file in NAO\u2019s memory containing a FAILED result.
